I’ve had extreme lower back pain for the past five years, and it’s progressively gotten worse. This year, it got really bad quickly.
After getting an MRI, doctors wanted me to get on gabapentin three times daily and have epidurals every couple of months. After researching, I couldn’t get down with the idea of just masking my pain, but I was still suffering. It got to the point where, in December, there were days where I could barely stand and just laid in bed in pain.
Around that time, a company called Neurogena reached out and asked if I wanted to try a new decompression therapy method I could use at home for a four-week test period.
Desperate for relief, I decided to give it a shot. I started using the belt for 30-minute decompression therapy sessions while laying down. In the beginning, I used only slight decompression and gradually increased it as days went by.
Surprisingly, after about two weeks, I noticed my pain was decreasing significantly. By the third week, I was almost pain-free, and by the end of the four weeks, it felt like my back was back to normal. I even did a follow-up MRI, and the results were better than expected.
I was really depressed thinking about needing surgery or possibly ending up in a wheelchair, but this approach seems to have given me hope for delaying further degeneration. I know this might not work for everyone, but it’s been life-changing for me, so I wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else.
